We can pickle that! Join us as we explore the science involved in the process of pickling. With fresh produce from Walking Mountains’ greenhouse, we will taste test a few pickling recipes and try our hands at the process. Registration includes two take home jars of quick pickled produce.

Presenter: Erin Baumann
Erin is a native of Madison WI where her love for good food and the outdoors was fostered. She holds a BA in Environmental Studies and Spanish from Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota. She has most recently lived in another Great Lakes state– in the Northern Lower Peninsula of Michigan teaching garden-based education to elementary students. In her free time, Erin enjoys finding bodies of water to swim or kayak in, going hiking, playing in the snow, among other outdoor activities. When not outside she can usually be found in the kitchen cooking or getting better at baking bread!
