SUMMARY:Climate Anxiety: Understanding Our Responses and Building Resilience
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an informative discussion on climate anxiety featuring Dr. Paige Baker-Braxton\, Senior Director of Vail Health Behavioral Health\, and Charlotte Lin\, Town of Avon Sustainability Manager and former Climate Psychology Alliance North America Board Member. \n  \nAlissa Nemmers of the Vail Health Sustainability Department will open the program with an overview of the educational initiatives and community conversations that led to this discussion on climate anxiety. She will share the journey that led to this lecture through community and organizational education efforts focused on microplastics and their impacts on human and environmental health. \n  \nCharlotte will explore the emerging field of Climate Psychology\, which seeks to understand the psychological responses to climate change and its impacts while fostering resilience in individuals and communities experiencing climate-related stress and anxiety. \n  \nDr. Baker-Braxton will discuss the mental health impacts of climate-related concerns and share practical strategies for managing anxiety and building resilience in the face of environmental challenges. \n  \nThe program will conclude with an interactive Q&A session\, providing attendees an opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with the speakers. SUMMARY:Sustainable Film Series: In Our Nature
DESCRIPTION:What if environmental education were seen not as a luxury\, but as essential to mental health\, civic connection\, and strong communities? And what happens when young people — no matter their background or political stripe — are given the chance to connect with the nature that connects us all? \nIn Our Nature explores these questions through the stories of changemakers using nature to bridge divides — and reveals how a more connected\, resilient future might already be taking root.

SUMMARY:Sustainable Film Series: Save the Farm\, Save the Future
DESCRIPTION:Farming in America is harder than ever. Drought\, extreme weather\, and rising costs are pushing farmers to their limits. Meanwhile\, climate change is driving demand for clean energy\, transforming farmland into solar fields. Can agrivoltaics—combining solar power and agriculture on the same land—help save farms while meeting society’s energy needs?
