Elise is from Chapel Hill, NC and spent the first half of her life in Cleveland, OH. She graduated from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY with a degree in Environmental Studies with focuses in Ecology and Women’s Studies. She is passionate about environmental and social justice. She spent a semester abroad in Zanzibar, Tanzania and studied human impacts on mangrove forests. Last summer she worked at NOAA Boulder doing education and outreach and she is happy to be back in Colorado, where much of her family lives. She ran cross country and track collegiately and loves to run, hike, and camp.
