After spending the summer as a Naturalist and Sustainability intern, James was hooked on the organization, the valley and all things sustainability. He has returned as the Energy Programs Coordinator to continue helping Eagle County reduce its environmental impact.
Growing up in the wonderful city of Cleveland, James got to spend much of his youth enjoying the great Lake Erie and connecting with nature in the many metroparks the city has to offer. At the University of Alabama, James began his academic career studying Mechanical Engineering, however after two years he switched to Environmental Engineering due to his love for nature. After spending two summers as a Youth Crew Leader with Montana Conservation Corps, a decision was made to pursue a career with nonprofits.
While he isn’t at work or searching for new ways to reduce energy usage, James loves to hike, ski, run, hammock, cook and drink as much coffee as he possibly can.
