Acadia Caryl
Acadia grew up in Northeast Ohio, where she regularly adventured in the MetroParks and along Lake Erie. Her interest in the environment and passion for its stewardship began at a young age during family camping trips to national parks across the country. Acadia joined Walking Mountains in April 2025 as the Development Manager. In this role, she focuses on special events, including our A Taste of Nature Gala and Auction and our Edventures, as well as outreach to new corporate and individual donors. Before moving to Colorado, Acadia was the Assistant Director of Annual Giving at Ohio Wesleyan, where she raised annual funds for the university and worked closely with reunion and class volunteers.
As a lifelong Ohioan, Acadia is excited to make Colorado her new home with her partner, Gram and their cat, Candy. She was captivated by Colorado’s beauty on her first trip to the Rocky Mountains, where she camped under Longs Peak. Since then, she’s been planning her grand exit from Ohio.
Acadia is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, where she studied English-Literature and Psychology. In her free time, Acadia enjoys teaching and taking yoga classes, skiing, swimming, traveling, reading a good book, going to live music events, and spending time experimenting in the kitchen to make the best gluten free treats.
