James Kenly

Director of Individual Giving

James comes to Walking Mountains having most recently served as Executive Director of Vail Jazz where he spent three years and stewarded the organization through its 25th anniversary celebration. James has a variety of experiences in both the non-for-profit and for-profit sectors, having worked with donors, sponsors, volunteers, granting organizations, and in-kind supporters. He has an entrepreneurial background in the music industry and he co-founded a non-profit organization to unify communities by serving the emotional and physical effects of extreme poverty. He earned a BA in Rhetoric from Bates College and an MBA from the University of Denver.

James and his family reside in Eagle-Vail. They enjoy camping, paddling, skiing, sledding, and his children love attending camps at Walking Mountains!
