Marin (she/her) was born in New Jersey but has lived in North Carolina for most of her life. She attended North Carolina State University, where she studied Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management, minored in Forest Management, and was a coxswain and rower for the club rowing team. Marin’s passion for the environment and conservation has been fostered through her time spent outdoors, hiking all around North Carolina, and through her desire to learn as much as possible about the natural world. As a dendrology tutor, Marin led tree identification walks, helping students learn over 150 plant species native to North Carolina. She also interned with the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences during the summer and fall of 2020.
In her free time, Marin loves to spend time outside, hiking, camping, birdwatching, and rowing. She also enjoys reading, drawing, and playing with her family dogs, Ziggy and Finley.
