Energy Programs Coordinator

Matt is the Energy Programs Coordinator in the Sustainability Programs department, focusing on Energy Smart Colorado’s local residential program and outreach of the CARE (Colorado’s Affordable Residential Energy) program. CARE provides income-qualified households free energy upgrades, saving them money on utility bills, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Matt also facilitates our Radon Awareness program, and provides general outreach about all Energy Programs provided through Walking Mountains Science Center.

Matt grew up in Gypsum and is a graduate of Colorado Mountain College. After receiving his Associate of Science in Chemistry in 2006 he pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Sustainable Studies, which he received in 2017. He worked in several local restaurants before switching to a career in community outreach and education. Matt loves just being outdoors, rafting, backpacking, skiing, and fishing.
