Kids & Families
Walking Mountains Science Center offers nature-based experiences for children and families that inspire curiosity and connection with the outdoors. Their early childhood programs introduce kids as young as six months to the wonders of nature through sensory-rich, outdoor learning led by naturalists. School-age children can dive deeper through week-long summer science camps that explore local trails and ecosystems. Families can also enjoy interactive evening events like beaver pond tours, campfires, and guided nature walks that bring everyone together for hands-on discovery in the Eagle Valley.
Hikes & Walks
We host guided nature walks and back-country hikes through Colorado’s mountain and riparian landscapes, offering opportunities for all ages and abilities. Participants are led by naturalists who help explore local ecosystems, discover wildlife, and deepen environmental appreciation in the Eagle Valley.
