Community Science Programs

Volunteers collaborate with scientists to collect and analyze data that supports research. Examples include the Colorado Pika Project, where participants hike to mountain vistas to help protect the pika, and the Colorado Alpine EcoFlora Project, a community-science botany initiative powered by iNaturalist.
