A playful, hands-on program for children ages 6 months to 35 months and their adults, that builds curiosity and confidence through songs, stories, and outdoor exploration. Nature Tykes is designed as a shared experience, so parents or caregivers stay and participate alongside their child to explore and learn together.

Our trails are always open. From the Avon Overlook Trail to the Nature Loop Trail and the pond, kids and families are invited to explore, learn, and connect with nature year-round on Walking Mountains campus.
Precourt mountain discovery center
Situated among aspen and pine forests, the Science Center is the focus of the Avon Tang Campus. The Visitor Center is free and open to the public and includes engaging interactive educational displays, group learning spaces, and a gift shop. Built using the latest ideas in sustainable design, the building itself is a part of the educational experience for all who visit. Join us for a free guided nature and come explore your curious nature with us!
