Precourt Family Sweetwater Campus

The Sweetwater Campus is a 224-acre conservation property north of Dotsero, permanently protected through a partnership between Eagle Valley Land Trust, Walking Mountains Science Center, and Eagle County Open Space. The campus offers easy access for down-valley communities and provides a unique ecological setting for field-based science programs. Its diverse habitat—featuring pinyon-juniper woodlands, sagebrush shrublands, and two flowing creeks—supports a wide range of wildlife, including elk, mule deer, migratory songbirds, and species of concern like the leopard frog and bald eagle.
