Backcountry Snowshoe Hikes

Join a Walking Mountains guide this winter for a backcountry snowshoe excursion in the White River National Forest. Perfect for those seeking a tranquil winter experience away from the ski slopes, these hikes offer an introduction to winter backcountry exploration. Each outing focuses on a unique theme such as winter communities, snow science and the subnivean environment, winter plants, or art in nature.

Whether you’re hiking to some of the best vistas in the Vail area or enjoying a slower paced experience discovering Colorado’s wildlife and snowpack, you’ll leave with unforgettable memories. Explore the different snowshoe options below and sign up for your adventure today.
