Maggie Roszko

Foley Graduate Fellow

Maggie grew up in Maryland, where exploring the woods, creek, and pond behind her home sparked her love for nature. She became an active 4-H member and spent summers counseling at nature-based camps and working on local farms.

At Frostburg State University, Maggie played lacrosse and earned a B.S. in Early Childhood Education. After graduating, she combined her passions for teaching and the outdoors by teaching kindergarten and first grade at nature schools, including one on a farm in Nashville. Teaching outside deepened her commitment to educating others about nature, agriculture, and sustainability.

Now, she is excited to pursue a Master’s in Science Education to further develop her skills in teaching science-based lessons and in developing curriculum that inspires others to care for the environment. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, playing pickleball, snowboarding, reading, and spending time with friends.
