Nature Discovery Center Vail
The Nature Discovery Center is open Wednesdays-Saturdays
10:00am-3:30pm December 17-April 8.
Explore an array of natural history exhibits about local wildlife such as ravens, weasels, lynx, and black bears. Free Nature Hikes and Snowshoe Tours are also offered from the Nature Discovery Center.
The Nature Discovery Center located in a yurt and is accessed via the Eagle Bahn gondola out of Lionshead in Vail, adjacent to the Eagle’s Nest building. All ages welcome, free admission. All visitors must have a valid ski pass (in winter) or Vail Scenic Ride Ticket (click here to see current pricing & purchase online) in order to ride the gondola.

Directions
1) From I-70 exit 176 and head west on South Frontage Road
2) Park at the Lionshead parking structure
3) Head towards Eagle Bahn Gondola Please note: All visitors must have a valid ski pass or Vail Scenic Ride Ticket in order to ride the gondola before 3:30pm daily in the winter and anytime during the summer.

Hike with Us!
Come join a Naturalist for a free hour-long hike on Vail Mountain at 11am and 2pm, Thurs-Sat. Registration required. REGISTER HERE. Soak in the mountain top views and learn more about the environment we all enjoy exploring! lease come prepared to spend an hour outside in the summer environment at above 10,000ft in elevation with water, sturdy hiking boots, an extra layer/rain jacket, sunscreen and sunglasses. All tours will meet outside the Nature Discovery Center atop the Eagle Bahn Gondola in Lionshead.
