Marina Smith-Hanke

Marina (she/her) is originally from Maryland, where she grew up looking for fossilized shark teeth in the Chesapeake Bay. She moved to Poughkeepsie, New York for college and got to spend four years hiking, camping, and exploring the beautiful Hudson Valley. During her junior year, she completed a research program in Ecuador, which enabled her to learn about new ecosystems and further fostered her love for the natural world. In her free time, she loves to climb, hike, camp, and just generally spend time outdoors!
