Shea Stone

Shea (she/her) was born and raised in Miami, Florida and recently completed her bachelor’s in wildlife ecology and conservation at the University of Florida. Having spent her whole life near sea-level, she is very excited to get a taste of the Rockies and beyond grateful to pursue wilderness and exploration as a career. At school, Shea worked at the Florida Museum’s Butterfly Rainforest, so she’s developed a knack for butterfly facts and identification. She also volunteered at a wildlife sanctuary working with big cats, her most favorite animal group. 

Outside of work, Shea is an avid music-lover and concert-goer, and has enjoyed teaching herself guitar. She has spent over 10 years doing musical theater, her biggest love aside from nature. She is excited to blend her passions for wilderness, creativity, and community at Walking Mountains this season.
