Energy Programs Coordinator
Sam joined Walking Mountains Science Center’s Sustainability Programs team in October 2020. As an Energy Program Coordinator Sam provides support to other Energy Programs staff as well as our locals as they work towards increasing energy efficiency in their homes & businesses. Sam helps the community save money, improve their health and safety, live more comfortably, and reduce their carbon footprint by guiding them through incentives and energy visits available through Walking Mountains Sustainability.
Sam graduated from Colorado Mesa University with a B.S. in Environmental Science & Pollution Control Technology in August 2013. While in school they spent their summers working for the Forest Service facilitating the rehabilitation of forest roads by implementing closures and establishing information boards throughout the Grand Mesa Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forest.
Sam grew up in Eagle, CO where they developed a love of outdoor adventures and nature.
