Riley Gaines

Community Science & Hiking Coordinator

Riley was raised in Wisconsin, where the abundance of lakes and natural places fostered his love for the outdoors. He continued to follow his interest in the natural world by receiving his B.S. in Natural Resource Management from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. In May of 2020, Riley began at Walking Mountains Science Center as a Foley Graduate Fellow, where he would later receive his M.A. in Science Education from the University of Northern Colorado. Additionally, Riley is a Certified Interpretive Guide and Master Environmental Educator. When Riley isn’t out sharing his love for the natural world with others, he can be found recreating in the outdoors by snowboarding, rock climbing, or mountain biking.
